Ever since The present PM of India declared war on open toilet/defecation, people who dislike him, just for the sake of disliking him, started a new war of mocking the PM. In my mind, I wanted to explore the reasons behind such mockery, since, to me, its a very important issue, just like the issues of joblessness, hunger, communal harmony, demonetization, farmers owes, Nirav Modi, Rafael and scores of others.
I can well understand that the PM and the ruling party can be definitely questioned on all the issues, since they are directly related to the economic health of the nation. But why mocking him on the issue of Toilet? Is this not directly related to the issue of health and dignity of people especially for those millions living in the villages.
I could think of the few following reasons for getting involved in such mockery:
1) Most, or, all the people who are mocking the PM, have toilets in their home. So they do not understand the difficulties of people who do not have such luxuries. A very large number of such sufferers are women who have to safeguard their dignity, safety and health while going for open defecation.
2) The one who is mocking the PM on this issue, does not have any problem to defecate in front of others. They have a perverted pleasure in exhibiting their privates in public and in a 'group-show'
3) Not understanding the seriousness of open defecation is the outcome of a silly mind, whether that mind is that of a Congress, BJP, CPM or any other outfit. Its just outright silly
4) Most participants in such mockery drive are city based, literate (I am avoiding to use 'educated'), and they have never traveled to the villages and far flung areas, where this is a real problem. They are the keyboard crusaders with vested interest.
